Quilt of Pixie Coming Soon!

Jan adopted little Pixie who was fostered by her friend Rita for a local shelter.  Pixie and Brady are best friends and play like true siblings!

Jan's new puppy, Brady, was born 1/6/05 and Jan adopted him on 3/13/05. She needed another Rottie boy!!
Augie's custom portrait quilt
Augie is Jan's oldest - a 12-year old long-coated GSD who thinks he is 9 months old!  He is really Daddy's boy.
Dimension - 20" square

Augie went to the Bridge on 2/2/06 at 12½ years old. He was diagnosed with Lymphosarcoma just the week before, but his legs gave out before the cancer could take him. He was sweet and brave and is missed so much.
Bogey's custom portrait quilt
Bogey is Jan's heart and soul; her perfect, sweet boy (and her logo!). Bogey was adopted at 4 months old from a shelter where Jan was volunteer coordinator.
Dimension - 25" square

Bogey became ill on New Year's Day 2004 and had emergency surgery to remove his spleen and a cancerous tumor on 1/7. Unfortunately, the diagnosis is Malignant Histiocytosis, for which there are no treaments or cures. Jan and her husband are trying to enjoy every day with Bogey, whose prognosis is zero to 12 months, but it is so difficult not to think of the future, without their Bogey-man there.
Bogey passed away peacefully in Jan's arms on 3/9/04 after a gallant fight against this deadly cancer. He will never be forgotten.
Woody's Quilt picture of Woody
Woody was 3 years old when adopted by Jan and her family in November 1983. He passed away in 11/92 and is still remembered with much love.
Dimensions - 27" W X 31" H

Rudy's custom portrait quilt
Rudy was adopted by Jan and her husband at the age of 4.5 months, after a local humane society removed him from his previous home due to neglect. He is an 11-year old Shepherd mix and the favorite dog of Jan's son Josh.
Dimension - 17.5" square

Rudy became ill in early May 2006 with cancer of the bone marrow. He died peacefully on 5/22/06, 3 weeks before his 12th birthday. He was a kind and sweet gentleman and is greatly missed.
Jan made this updated quilt of Kilo, as the earlier one was the first one she ever did of any of her pets, and she has improved (she hopes) since then - 8 years ago. She made it in these bright orange fabrics to match the bed quilt she made ( see traditional quilts page - you can't miss which one it is!). Kilo is the "dog that came with the house" when they moved 8 years ago. His previous owner moved out of the country, so Jan and her husband kept him. He was 8 months old and is now 8½ years old. He is a wonderful ambassador for the Pit Bull breed.
Dimensions - 26" H x 30" W.

Kilo's custom portrait quilt
Kilo is Jan's puppy that "came with the house", at the age of 7 months. He turned 3 in November 2002.  He is part pitbull, part kissing fool, and he likes to sleep under the covers.

Keeper's custom portrait quilt
Keeper was found abandoned at a local farm and the people who lived there could not keep him. Jan took one look at him and decided he was a "Keeper". Other than the spraying, fighting, and furniture scratching, he's the perfect cat!
Dimension - 25" x 28".

Jan had to say goodbye to her Keeper on 1/4/07. He was quite debilitated from a head injury two years ago, and had lost 5 pounds in the past few months due to cancer. Now Jan will keep him in her heart always, and picture him running and jumping like in the good old days.

aggie's quilt
Aggie was found on a main highway by Jan's husband. She was their only "girl" until Pixie was adopted 11/04. She is a Siamese cross. She's still adjusting to living with dogs after a few years.

Aggie suddenly became ill due to a large, fast-growing tumor, and Jan had to say goodbye to her sleek, beautiful girl on 3/2/06. She was only 6.
Dimension - 18" square.

Ballou's quilt
When Jan worked in animal control, she brought an abandoned cat to a shelter. Three months later, he was still there, depressed, so she brought him home for "the weekend" and called him Ballou. That was 6 years ago!
Dimensions - 22" x 28"
Ballou - Jan's cat

Ballou passed away Friday, 10/8/04, after being diagnosed with Liver Disease and not responding to treatment. Jan misses her boy very much.
